Friday Wrap-Up: Thanksgiving, Guild Recruitment, Cloth Healing Gear List

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and if you went Black Friday shopping, that it was plentiful and rewarding. I will be cooking my turkey today after already having Thanksgiving dinner yesterday… It will be delicious!

I put together a gear list yesterday of all the cloth gear that could be a good upgrade for healers (includes weapons, off-hands, rings, and trinkets) that a priest might want from normal level 80 dungeons, as well as all the heroic dungeons. I will be sharing it hear shortly. It IS an Excel spreadsheet but I assure you it doesn’t have a keylogger… That would be pretty dumb.

I will have it up shortly but dinner is going to take priority today.

And side note, our guild’s been recruiting recently through realm and guild recruitment forums (with little luck) and building our roster up again has been painfully slow. I was reading Matticus’s blog about how he built his own guild by also using trade chat and I just had to ask him his take on it. I mean, we all know and love the kind of degenerate chat we see in trade (especially since Alliance doesn’t have Barrens chat… ho ho ho) so guild recruitment is usually laughed at in trade.

Matt took the time to answer my question in a post (re: guild recruitment via trade chat) and I have to thank him for the light he shed on the topic. I’ll ruminate on his input in a little bit; right now, the turkey is awaiting basting…
